Patient Guidelines

As a result of Covid-19 new guidelines have been issued that change the way in which we manage and see patients.  I have worked hard to redesign your experience to welcome you back as safely and quickly as possible.
Every decision has been made with our patient’s and team’s welfare foremost in our minds. Things will look and feel different and understandably you may have some concerns.

The information below explains our new patient experience

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES AS YOU WILL BE ASKED TO STATE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THEM AND ARE WILLING TO COMPLY PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE CLINIC.
Before your appointment

You will be asked to complete a screening form about your recent health. This will be sent to you via email if time allows, alternatively it will be completed over the phone with you 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Please note this form must be completed for your appointment to go ahead.

On the day

  • Check in with yourself - how do you feel?
  • If you have symptoms of a cough, temperature, loss of taste or smell, fatigue or body aches, please stay at home. We can arrange a video/telephone appointment with you instead.
  • Please come to your appointment on your own, if at all possible.
  • Please bring as few possessions with you as possible. Leave your coat, bag or umbrella in the car.
  • Please be prompt - this minimises waiting time for you and allows adequate time for room sanitisation and PPE changing for our practitioners between patients.
  • (if you are early you will be asked to stay in your car or wait outside and if you are late you may not be seen as this impacts on the safety of the next patient).
  • We ask that you wear a mask during your appointment and if you can bring your own, as we have limited supplies.Entering the practice and your appointment.

Entering the practice and your appointment

  • There is a hand sanitising area in the porch which we ask you to do before entering the building. If you cannot use the products we provide please bring something you can use, you will not be allowed in without sanitising.
  • We ask that you bring your own towels to use to cover the table and you.
  • You will notice that the practice is clutter and linen free to ensure that we are able to clean frequently and efficiently.
  • Please note that due to the nature of osteopathy we are unable to maintain the usual social distance measures - so all our practitioners will be wearing PPE - glasses, masks, aprons and gloves.
  • We are unable to accept cash at this time and ask that you pay by BACS before you come or contactless before your appointment. Card machines will be sanitised after each patient.
  • Please do not turn up without an appointment as you will be refused entry.

There may be teething problems as the guidelines are changing daily we will regularly update you on any changes and hope that you will be patient patients.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
